World Junior Hockey Championship (in Edmonton)

Canada finished 4-0 in the preliminary round action and will face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals on Saturday (4 PM PT). Taylor Gauthier of the PG Cougars is the third goalie for Canada.

Czech Republic  7  Austria  0

Forward Filip Koffer of the Prince George Cougars is playing for the Czech Republic. He did not get a point in the game and has one goal in the tournament.

USA  4  Sweden  0

The Americans will play Slovakia in the quarterfinals Saturday night at 7:30. Sweden will meet Finland (12:30) and Russia meets Germany (9:00 AM) in the other quarters Saturday.
