35-year-old man in stable condition after pedestrian-involved collision at Ospika and Ferry

Emergency Crews in Prince George responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

The incident occurred just after 8:20 this morning (Thursday) at the intersection of Ferry and Ospika.

Kyle Ushock with PG RCMP Traffic Services spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“Ambulance transported a 35-year-old man to hospital in stable condition. Currently, the file is being investigated by the traffic unit and we will be maintaining this file until we get an update on the pedestrian.”

The victim sustained minor injuries according to police.

The driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision.

Grizzly bear attack west of Fort Nelson leaves one with non-life-threatening injuries

The BC Conservation Officer Service says a grizzly bear attack near Fort Nelson left one man with non-life-threatening injuries.  According to a Facebook post from the Conservation Officer Service, the attack took place at 11:00 this morning near a remote, fly-in location approximately 110 kilometres west of Fort Nelson, where a group was working in the area. 

Final touches being made for Special Olympics BC Games

With a flag raising Monday, a Torch Run on Wednesday, an opening ceremony on Thursday, and competitions on Friday and Saturday, the Special Olympics BC Games are set to bring plenty of excitement to Prince George this week.
