Local church launches ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign to raise funds for building reparations

St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Prince George has launched its “Raise the Roof” campaign to raise funding to repair the church roof.

“Our goal is $400,000 and to date, we have raised over 50 percent with savings, grants and pledges,” said Marie Hay, Peoples’ Warden at St. Mike’s.

The campaign is expected to be held throughout the duration of the calendar year, however, the church is hoping to start repairs as early as this spring.

“We are reaching out to anyone who has an interest in this downtown icon and its programs to help us reach our fundraising goal,” added Hay.

The roof of the church has been deteriorating for a number of years and any further delay of reparations could risk permanent damage to the building.

All donations to the campaign can be made online or in-person at the church located at 1505 5th Avenue in PG.
