Prince George RCMP make 28 arrests with the help of special gang enforcement team

The Prince George RCMP made 28 arrests after receiving assistance from the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU-BC).

Additionally, officers seized various weapons such as knives, mace, replica guns, collapsible batons and property crime tools and various drugs such as methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl and cocaine.

“The PG RCMP appreciates the time and effort put in by the members of the UGET to assist in combating the drug trade in our city,” says PG RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper, “we want to send a clear message to those involved in violent conflict that we do not tolerate it in our city.”

The CFSEU-BC is the province’s integrated anti-gang police agency made up of officers from every police department in the province.

Prince George officers worked directly with the Uniformed Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) between January 13th and 17th to combat Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) violations, weapons trafficking and the associated violence stemming from the PG drug trade.

A total of 25 files were generated for weapons, drug trafficking and driving offences during this time.
