Prince George RCMP have released some details about a violent offence that took place on 5th Avenue this morning.
At 10:30 am, police and emergency services were called to a report of a man down at the corner of 5th Avenue and Gillett Street.
The man had serious injuries and was taken to hospital for life threatening injuries.
RCMP say foul play is suspected and the Serious Crime and Forensic Identification Section have been called in.
The west bound section of 5th Avenue from Carney to Gillett Street is closed as police investigate.
