The Prince George Public Library has recognized those who have contributed to local history.
The library has handed out its 2015 Jeanne Clarke Memorial Local History Award.
The awards two categories are Publication and Service.
Chief Librarian Janet Marren says this year’s Publication Award went to three professors from the University of British Columbia.
“Charlotte Townsend-Gault, Jennifer Kramer and Ki-ke-in, and these three put together a very large history and the title is “A Native Art of the Northwest Coast: A history of changing ideas.”
Marren says this year’s service award went to the Barkerville Heritage Trust for their exhibit that looks at Chinese immigrants to the area.
