New exhibit blooming at Central BC Forestry and Railway Museum

The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum is hosting a new temporary art exhibit featuring paintings from artist, Karma Vance.

Starting today (Saturday), the museum will be showcasing Vance’s new floral collection of paintings.

“I have had many rich years in the field of education; teaching, learning, exploring and questioning,” said Vance,” now, I am loving the freedom I have earned from all that I have
learned.

The exhibit is called “A Splash of Flora,” and will be hosted at the Museum until April 30th.

“My current goal is to incorporate more chaos and looseness with the image,” Vance added, “I use a framework of underlying boundaries and a strong composition, then break up the edges to create a dance of movement and energy.”

Admission into the Gallery space is free, hours of operation are Wednesday to Sunday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

For more information, visit the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum website.
