Prince George expands COVID-19 vaccination eligibility

The age range eligible to schedule COVID-19 vaccinations in Prince George is expanding.

Now, PG residents aged 78 and older or Indigenous residents 55 and older can book an appointment with the COVID-19 vaccination appointment schedule.

Beginning tomorrow (Tuesday), residents aged 77 and up will be able to book an appointment, then on Thursday (March 25th) anyone 76 years old and up can book.

On Saturday, PG residents aged 75 and older will be able to book an appointment with the call centre, which is available from 7 am until 7 pm daily.

Vaccine appointments are being conducted at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre.

This comes after BC Health Officials announced thousands of front-line workers will soon be eligible for vaccines across BC.

All Northern Health residents are being urged to visit the NH website for their community-based vaccination schedule.

This comes as the community vaccination schedules may differ.

For example, Prince Rupert has already begun booking vaccinations for those aged 18 and older as they continue to see a spike in cases.
