Prince George Future Shop closes, to be turned into Best Buy

The Prince George Future Shop, along with all stores across Canada, are closed.

The announcement was made this morning that the electronic retail brands is now no more, with the Prince George one to be turned into a Best Buy store.

The company says any customer transaction made at Future Shop in store and online will transition over to the new store.

It is expected to be opened next Saturday.

1500 part and full time jobs will be lost in this change but no word if any jobs in Prince George will be lost in the transition.
