(Connor Bowie notched his first WHL hat trick while Riley Heidt, who just turned 16, tallied his first WHL goal, and Ethan Browne added the winner for the 1-1 Cougars. Tyler Brennan made 29 saves as Prince George outshot Victoria 39-32 in Kelowna. The Cats scored twice on the power play for the 2nd straight game. The Cougars host the Vancouver Giants Wednesday in Kamloops. The Giants play Victoria this evening in Kamloops)

The Prince George Spruce Kings begin their 20-game, 5-week BCHL schedule Saturday against the Chilliwack Chiefs. The Spruce Kings play the Chiefs and the Merritt Centennials 10 times each with all games starting at 5 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
