The Independent Investigations Office will be looking into two incidents, one in Prince George and the other in Dawson Creek, that left a total of four people injured.

According to the report, Prince George RCMP responded to a 911 call from a home on the 3700 block of Lansdowne Road on January 18.

When officers arrived at the home, an ‘altercation’ reportedly occurred and a man and woman sustained undisclosed injuries.

The IIO was advised of the incident on April 1.

Meanwhile, a pair of women were hospitalized with ‘serious’ injuries after a truck crashed through the wall of a Dawson Creek gym yesterday (Monday) evening.

Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver earlier that evening, and when they attempted a traffic stop, the driver allegedly did not comply.

A short time later, officers received a report the same truck had crashed through the wall of a gym, striking two women.

The driver fled from the scene on foot and was not found, and the women were taken to hospital.

Dawson Creek RCMP are continuing to investigate the driving infractions, including flight from police, dangerous driving causing injury, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The IIO is investigating to determine whether police actions are linked to the injuries sustained in the incidents.
