Update: RCMP investigating possible homicide on Pulp Mill Road

Update: 1:15 pm

RCMP have confirmed they are investigating a possible homicide on the 1100 block of Prince George Pulpmill Road.

Mounties were called to the home at 4:45 am for a report of an unknown disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found one person dead.

The investigation is in its early stages, and RCMP have deployed ‘significant’ resources to it, including the Serious Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services.

Police are currently on scene, and will continue to investigate throughout the weekend.

“It was a pretty dynamic scene from what I gather,” Cooper told MyPGNow.

She says the police believe the event to be isolated, and there is no risk to the public.

Witnesses and members of the residence where the event occurred are cooperating with the investigation.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone else who witnessed the event or may have further information.

Anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed the event is asked to contact police.

Original 8:30 am:

Prince George RCMP are responding to a serious incident on Pulp Mill Road.

A witness tells MyPGNow several cruisers are parked near a private residence, which has been taped off.

“There were a lot of police vehicles and people in white suits looking under a tarp,” they said.

RCMP has confirmed Major Crimes is en route and the next update will be in about an hour.
