PG RCMP still looking for clues following Pulp Mill Road homicide

Police in Prince George continue to investigate the city’s third homicide of 2021.

The RCMP were called to the 1100 block of PG Pulp Mill Road just before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday following an unknown disturbance.

Cst Jennifer Cooper spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“Our investigators are still collecting evidence from the scene and going through their witness statements but we won’t be releasing any further details at this time.”

The city’s first murder occurred on New Year’s Day when a 50-year-old man named Elie Eric Blanchard was found dead at a home on the 2800 block of 15th Avenue.

A second homicide was reported on January 28th when the RCMP found a man in a snowbank on the 8200 block of Domano Boulevard.

At this time, no arrests have been made in either case.

“Both of those incidents are also under investigation as our Serious Crimes Unit looks through all of the details and try to collect as much information as they can before making a determination,” added Cooper.

The BC Coroners Service is also investigating the Pulp Mill Road incident.
