19 Arrested and various drugs and weapons seized following trio of executed warrants

The Prince George RCMP executed three Controlled Drug and Substance Act warrants between April 1st and 8th.

As a result of the efforts, 19 people were arrested and various illicit drugs including Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine and Fentanyl were seized along with multiple weapons.

On April 1st at 8:35 pm, the first warrant was executed in a basement unit of a residence on the 900 block of Carney Street in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

Two adults, one male and one female were arrested from within the residence but they were later released pending further investigation.

Police located scales, packaging, ammunition and an assortment of weapons commonly used in the street-level drug trade.

Another male was also arrested on outstanding warrants, he was in possession of a quantity of cash and suspected illicit drugs consistent with drug trafficking.

The next warrant was executed on the evening of April 7th, when police saw three men and one woman all familiar to police leave a motel on the 2200 block of the Hart Highway.

Officers watched the four park at a business on the 5900 Block of O’Grady Road and exit a short while later with several items.

After consulting with the business, they found the four had stolen approximately $1,500 worth of products.

All four suspects were then arrested for Theft Under $5,000 and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

After executing a warrant on the motel they were originally found at, they arrested another female on an unendorsed warrant and another woman that was released pending further investigation.

“In addition to approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine, members found a loaded .22 calibre rifle,” explained PG RCMP Constable Jenniffer Cooper

She says one of the males arrested during this investigation was also the subject of an arrest during last month’s Boost and Bust project at the Pine Centre Mall.

The final warrant was executed on April 8th, which was also related to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Police arrested ten adults on the 2100 block of Spruce Street and released all but two of them pending further investigation.

Inside the residence, officers seized suspected Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine as well as scales, packaging, ammunition and cash, as well as a multitude of weapons, including a replica pistol.

“This is the second CDSA warrant executed on this residence in the past month,” says Sergeant Chad Chamberlain of the Street Crew Unit, “not to mention another series of enforcement actions
whereby the Street Crew Unit has removed both guns and drugs from our streets.”

These efforts come after the Prince George RCMP executed two warrants, and located various illicit drugs and weapons from homes on Quince Street and Spruce Street.
