Cullen calling out Trudeau on Promised Oil Tanker Ban

Skeena – Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen is calling out the Prime Minister on his promised North Coast oil tanker ban.

It seems Trudeau is having second-thoughts about the moratorium he most recently announced in November.

This wavering has Cullen “real concerned” that the government is considering pulling a complete 180.

“Trudeau was clear, voting twice for (the ban) in the House of Commons, now it’s sort of opened up the possibility of Enbridge Northern Gateway having new life when everybody including the industry, First Nations, Kitimat, just about everyone you ask says this thing is dead,” he says.

Cullen was in Haidi Gwaii over the weekend and landed in Bella Bella Tuesday morning to talk to the coastal communities. All of whom, he says, are still against Enbridge.
