The recent cluster of COVID-19 cases at Site C in Fort St John continues to grow.
B.C. Hydro confirms 13 active cases in association with the industrial project, after three more contractor workers tested positive today (Tuesday).
A total of 90 infections have been reported since March 1 2020, an increase of eight cases since last week’s update.
Additionally, 44 exposed employees are in isolation at the camp, and monitoring for symptoms.
The company says it has been in contact with Northern Health as contact tracing and containment measures continue.
Workers are required to isolate if they show any symptoms as described by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control including sneezing, sore throat, muscle aches, headaches, cough, fever or shortness of breath.
Meanwhile, the AstraZeneca vaccination program has resumed for Site C workers aged 40 and older.
