(The Lightning take the series 4-2. Tampa will play the winner of Carolina and Nashville in round two)

New York Islanders  5  Pittsburgh  3
(The Islanders win the series 4-2 to advance to the second round against Boston)

–There are two Stanley Cup playoff games tonight (Thursday): Montreal at Toronto (4:00 PT) and Carolina at Nashville (6:30). The Maple Leafs lead the Canadiens 3-1 while the Hurricanes are up 3-2 over the Predators.
