Exploration Place CEO appointed on Canadian Museum Association board

CEO of Exploration Place, Tracy Calogheros has been elected as a Board member of the Canadian Museums Association Board of Directors.

Calogheros was elected for a three-year term, following the electoral process that took place at the general meeting on Tuesday.

The Canadian Museums Association announced Calogheros will be joining 7 other new directors.

The meeting also saw the adoption of a member resolution on the climate crisis.

The resolution largely concerned the need for a declaration of a climate emergency within the Canadian museum sector, the development of a multi-year climate action strategy, as well as creating a push for museums to achieve net-zero carbon emissions between 2030-2050.
