COVID-19 Outbreak hits Dawson Creek care home once again

A COVID-19 outbreak had been declared on the Special Care Unit -South at Rotary Manor in Dawson Creek.

Two residents have tested positive, one of the residents with a confirmed case has passed away.

Northern Health is monitoring the situation and is taking additional precautions to control the situation.

The outbreak declaration will be in place for two consecutive COVID-19 incubation periods, or at least 28 days.

The living facility recently had an outbreak that was declared over on December 11th, when a total of nine cases were identified, two of the patients with a confirmed case passed away during this time.
