PG police catch reckless driver in the VLA

An erratic driver is a thousand dollars lighter in the wallet, which also led to the vehicle being impounded.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, the Prince George RCMP received multiple reports from residents in the area of 20th Avenue and Oak Street.

The callers were hearing what sounded like gunshots and observed a black Mustang speeding and doing stunts in the area.

Officers located two people, who stated a black Mustang had been following them and the driver was shooting fireworks out of the vehicle at them.

No injuries were reported.

Patrols located the vehicle outside of a home on the 2100 block of Norwood Street.

The driver was issued violation tickets for no insurance, license, and driving without consideration.

“In total, the driver received fines of $1070 and nine demerit points on his license, as well as the associated tow and impound fees. Driving behavior such as this is dangerous and not acceptable.”

“Hopefully the steep financial consequences of this driver’s choices will make them think twice before
attempting a stunt like this in the future,” stated Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
