New BC Cannabis location opens up shop at Spruceland Mall

Spruceland Mall is now home to Prince George’s newest BC Cannabis location, as the store opened its doors to the city on Wednesday morning.

The 6,000 square foot building will employ 13 residents, it is the third BC Cannabis location in Prince George.

Jamie Martin, regional Manager for BC Cannabis says Prince George is a great market for the Cannabis industry.

“There are definitely quite a few Cannabis stores in Prince George, but we have definitely been successful it’s been an exciting time for us and we continue to open stores,” said Martin.

It took about 36 weeks to get the store ready for opening, and Martin says opening a Cannabis store in a pandemic has been no easy task.

“It’s definitely been challenging but I think as business as a whole we’ve done quite a good job, we’ve followed all the PHO orders and we just make sure we’re consistently on top of our cleaning, recommending masks and making sure they’re available,” she added.

Martin says social responsibility is extremely important to BC Cannabis, that’s why they have a two-step Identification station that customers must go through prior to entering the store.

The store is equipped with a range of products including edibles, concentrates, vapes and accessories along with 36 different flower strains.
