Warm stretch of weather on the horizon for Prince George

Mr. Golden Sun is ready to break out from the clouds for an extended period of time in Prince George.

Temperatures are expected to range between 22 and 29 degrees beginning tomorrow (Tuesday) and stretching all the way into the August long weekend.

Environment Canada Meteorologist, Doug Lundquist told MyPGNow.com while the conditions are changing, the recent wet and cool pattern proved beneficial.

“The Central Interior got a lot more rain in the springtime and it’s been dry. We’ll what the numbers come out as for July here but thankfully we have had some rain whereas parts of southern BC have had zero.”

“At least the air is quite a bit cleaner because of the rain you’ve had and people need to get out and about and enjoy the summer weather. So, this is the perfect stretch for that but the only other thing is that the fires in southern BC might see the smoke drifting north as the ridge builds in.”

Overnight lows in the city are predicted to bounce between eight and 12 degrees all week.
