BC active COVID-19 case count jumps to over 900

BC Health officials report that there are 909 active cases of COVID-19 across the province.

503 of the total active cases are in Interior Health and just 16 of them are in Northern Health.

There are 185 new cases in BC, 113 of them in the Interior and two in the North.

66.1% of BC adults and 63.2% are fully vaccinated from the virus.

80.9% of those 12 and older, and 81.8% of adults in the province received their first dose.

  • 26 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health
    • Total active cases: 136
  • 113 new cases in Interior Health
    • Total active cases: 503
  • 35 new cases in Fraser Health
    • Total active cases: 208
  • eight new cases in Island Health
    • Total active cases: 41
  • one new case of a person who resides outside of Canada
    • Total active cases: five
