The heat warning for Prince George has ended
Original story:
The heat warning for Prince George is still in effect, but we could also see some rain and thunder.
“For today (Sunday) we do have an upper-level disturbance moving through the area. So we do have a 40% chance of showers with a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon time. And the high will be around 30 degrees today,” said Derek Lee, Meteorologist with Environment Canada.
Lee said the thunderstorms should continue into the evening, with the low for tonight being 13 degrees.
He adds tomorrow also has a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon but clears up after that.
“By Tuesday, it looks like an upper ridge kind of builds in through the area, so sunny skies will kind of return for the region until Thursday,” said Lee.
Lastly, Lee said to expect the smoke in the area to still linger for the next couple days.
