UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch for PG has ended

UPDATE 11:30 PM:

The severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George ended late Monday night according to Environment Canada

UPDATE 1:38 PM:

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George. Thunder, as well as potential hail, could develop.

9:38 AM:

Environment Canada has rescinded the heat warning for Prince George, but the Smoky Skies Bulletin is still in place.

“Based on our current smoke guidance, we are expecting improving conditions tomorrow,” said Environment Canada Meteorologist Nan Lu.

Lu said the smoke plume is expected to move further east out of the region.

She adds this afternoon is expected to be mix of sun and cloud with a 60% chance of showers or thunderstorms, with a risk of hail.

Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be mainly sunny, but we could get more rain by this weekend.

“On Friday and Saturday we are expecting some showers, so there’s a frontal system moving, and temperatures will be about 19 to 22 degrees.”
