Exercise equipment, horseshoe pits, trails, benches, and a garden are some of the new features at the park.

“Council is thrilled to see the enhancements to this park, which will further enrich the Gateway area, and provide seniors with a beautiful space to keep fit and active or simply enjoy the outdoors,” said Mayor Lyn Hall.

“The new park redevelopment provides additional options and activities for retirees in Prince George. This is a great space that is centrally located in the Gateway area near Ron Brent Elementary, Riverbend Seniors Community, and the Connaught Youth Centre, and will be a centrepiece for the neighbourhood.”

This is the second phase of the redevelopment project for the park.

2018 saw a new playground and a sports field get built through a collaboration with School District 57.
