Time to “pitch-in”

Prince George residents are asked to “pitch-in”.

Starting Sunday and until May 2nd, Pitch-In Canada runs with the emphasis on cleaning up your yard and your neighbourhood.

Recycling and Environmental and Action Planning Society Executive Director Terri McClymont says they will kick off the City Wide Spring Clean Up on Wednesday at the REAPS Garden.

“And that’s where people can come and pick up their Pitch-In Bags, their gloves, choose an area in Prince George,” says McClymont, “it might be your favourite walking area, dog park, a playground in which we can try to make sure all the streets, parks and playgrounds are litter free.”

McClymont says next Sunday will be Annual Spring Clean Up in the city.

She says problem areas in the city that see the most litter are fast food restaurants and high schools.
