The Phoenix Transition House in Prince George is receiving a minor facelift thanks to some helping hands.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), the United Way of Northern BC and volunteers from the Kelson Group will re-build the deck, railing as well as do garden clean-up.
It is all part of the Day of Caring Project as the upgrades will allow children to play and enable safe access to the backyard for the delivery of their programs.
“We are so grateful to get this deck done, and it will be good to have the moms and kids enjoying the outdoor space we have for them. We cannot thank United Way Northern BC enough for their perseverance on this project. It has been over two years in the waiting. They have been fantastic and coordinated everything,” said Karen Underhill – Phoenix Transition Society
“This is my first time working with United Way Northern BC here in Prince George. I am new to the Kelson Group, and it’s our absolute pleasure to be completing this project for Phoenix Transition Society. Our organization shares a deep commitment to helping our community, and it is our privilege to step forward with a donation, expertise, and skills to complete this project.” added Morgan Kofoed, Property Manager, Kelson Group.
The Phoenix Transition House is located at 1770 11th Avenue.
