WHL (PG Cougars)

The (0-3) Prince George Cougars host the (1-4) Victoria Royals Saturday night at 7:00 and Sunday afternoon at 2:00.

Both teams are coming off an 8-3 loss to the Kamloops Blazers.

Prince George has its next six games against Victoria.

The Cougars have scored 11 goals while surrendering 19.

The (1-1) Spruce Kings entertain the (0-2) Merritt Centennials tonight and Saturday in their first home games of the season.

(U18AAA )

The (3-3) Cariboo Cougars will host the (4-1-0-1) Vancouver Northwest Hawks Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Kin 1.

The (4-3-0-1) Northern Capitals return to action on Oct 23rd and 24th when they visit the (2-2) Vancouver Island Seals.

The Senators have signed winger Brady Tkachuk to a 7-year contract extension worth $57.5-million.

Buffalo  5  Montreal  1

The Vancouver Canucks visit the Philadelphia Flyers tonight (4:00 PT) and the Detroit Red Wings Saturday (4:00 PT).

The Canucks began their season-opening six-game road trip with a 3-2 loss to Edmonton in a shootout.

Canada West Soccer:
(UNBC Timberwolves)

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the Fraser Valley Cascades in men’s and women’s Canada West Soccer tonight and Sunday afternoon.

The UNBC men have one win, four losses, and three ties after eight games while the UNBC women have one win, six losses, and one tie.

The Timberwolves, with just four games remaining in both divisions, close out their regular season by hosting Thompson Rivers on October 23rd and 24th at Masich Place with the women to play at noon followed by the men at 2:15.

 

MLB: (5th and deciding game)

The LA Dodgers  2  San Francisco Giants  1

The Dodgers win the series 3-2 to advance to the best-of-7 National League Championship Series against the Braves starting Saturday (5:07 PM PT) in Atlanta.

The best-of-7 American League Championship Series will open tonight at 5:07 (PT) in Houston with the Astros against the Boston Red Sox.

NFL: (Week 6)

The Bucs improved to 5-1, the second-best record in the NFL, only behind 5-0 Arizona.

CFL:

Week 11 of the CFL season starts tonight at 6:00 (PT) with Winnipeg at Edmonton.

The BC  Lions are back in action Saturday at 4:00 when they host Calgary.

West: Winnipeg 8-1, Saskatchewan 5-4, B.C. 4-4, Calgary 4-5, and Edmonton 2-6
East:  Toronto 6-3, Montreal 4-4, Hamilton 4-5, and Ottawa 2-7.
