It was the first loss in five home games for the Spruce Kings, before 595 fans at the RMCA. The (7-3) Spruce Kings will host the (5-3-1) Trail Smoke Eaters Friday and Saturday.
Goals from John Herrington and Rowan Miller, along with a good effort in goal from Aaron Trotter didn’t turn out to be enough as the Spruce Kings get edged 3-2 against the West Kelowna Warriors.

WHL: (PG Cougars)
The (5-4) Prince George Cougars play their next two games on the road.
The Cougars visit the (4-2-1) Vancouver Giants Friday in Langley and the (4-3) Rockets Saturday in Kelowna.
The Rockets beat the Giants 7-6 in overtime last night (Wednesday).
The next home games for the Cougars will be on Tuesday and Wednesday against Vancouver.

The (1-1) UNBC Timberwolves have their home openers this weekend in Canada West basketball.

The Timberwolves are 1-1 in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
