Police wanting to speak with pickup truck driver following fatal MVI involving pedestrian

The Prince George RCMP is seeking more information from the public following yesterday’s (Tuesday) fatal pedestrian motor vehicle incident.

Just before 12:30 p.m., police went to the corner of First Avenue and Quebec Street. Unfortunately, the pedestrian did not survive the collision and police are continuing their investigation.

“We are looking to speak with the driver of a pickup truck who may have information pertinent to this investigation. We believe it to be a 2014-2016 Ford 150 with an extended cab and it appears there is a ratchets strap around the tailgate and an aftermarket bumper. The vehicle was seen driving in the area of First Avenue and Quebec Street around the time of the incident,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer.

Anyone with information about the vehicle, or who the driver or passengers of the pickup truck were, you are asked to contact the detachment.
