BC Winter Classic returning to Fort Saint James in the New Year

The Northern Capitals and Cariboo Cougars U-18 hockey programs are ready to take the game outside for the first time in two years.

Cariboo Hockey announced today (Wednesday) the BC Winter Classic is set for January 22nd and 23rd in Fort Saint James.

The Northern Capitals will play a weekend doubleheader against the Fraser Valley Rush.

Game one is being played in Vanderhoof on Saturday afternoon while their 2nd annual outdoor game will be held at the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena.

In addition, the Cariboo Cougars will be hosting the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds that samE weekend, both at the Ernie Sam and in the Fort Forum.
