WHL:

Tri-City Americans  4  Prince George Cougars  3

The Americans built up a 4-0 lead by the midway point of the game and then held on for the victory before 1,813 fans.

It was the 4th straight loss for the (6-10) Cougars, who conclude a 6-game homestand when they entertain the (4-7-2) Americans tonight.

After this weekend, the Cats will play their next six games on the road.

Four players with the PG Cougars have been named to Central Scouting’s ‘Players to Watch’ List ahead of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Goaltender Tyler Brennan is ranked a ‘B’ prospect, while defencemen Keaton Dowhaniuk, Viliam Kmec, and forward Kyren Gronick are listed as ‘C’ prospects.

All four held the same ranking in last month’s preliminary list.

NHL Central Scouting ranks ‘A’ level prospects as potential first-round picks, ‘B’ prospects as potential second or third-round picks, and ‘C’ prospects as potential fourth, fifth, or sixth-round selections.

The (9-6) Prince George Spruce Kings are scheduled to play their next two games on home ice.

The Spruce Kings will entertain Chilliwack on Friday, Nov 26th, and Nanaimo on Saturday, the 27th.

BC Elite Hockey League: (Cariboo Cougars U18 AAA)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars visit the Thompson Blazers Saturday, Nov 27 at 2:45 p.m. and Sunday the 28th at 12:30 in the afternoon in Kamloops.

The (5-7-1-1) Cougars are in 8th place in the 10-team league.

CFL: (Week 16)

B.C. Lions  43  Edmonton  10

The (5-9) Lions concluded their season by ending a 7-game losing streak.

Ottawa  19  Montreal  18

The CFL regular season concludes with a pair of games today: Saskatchewan is at Hamilton (1:00) followed by Winnipeg at Calgary (4:00).

The (8-9) Raptors are 1-2 on a 6-game road trip that continues Sunday night at 5:30 when they visit the (14-2) Golden State Warriors.

The UNBC Timberwolves will host the UBC Thunderbirds in Canada West basketball on November 26th and 27th.
