The (6-11-2) Vancouver Canucks start a 5-game road trip (4 PM PT) against the (8-6-4) Penguins in Pittsburgh.

It is one of 14 games in the NHL tonight (Wednesday) with Calgary the only Canadian team idle.

BCHL:

There has been a schedule change for the Prince George Spruce Kings.

Instead of being home this weekend, the (9-6) Spruce Kings visit the Vernon Vipers on Friday.

The Spruce Kings are scheduled to be home again on Wednesday, Dec, 1st against the Penticton Vees.

WHL:

The (7-10) Prince George Cougars play their next six on the road starting Saturday in Kelowna against the Rockets.

BC Elite Hockey League: (Cariboo Cougars U18 AAA)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars visit the (5-9-1-1) Thompson Blazers Saturday at 2:45 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in Kamloops.

The (5-7-1-1) Cougars are in 8th place in the 10-team league and were idle this weekend.

NFL:

There will be three NFL games on Thursday (American Thanksgiving) to start Week 12 of the season.

Chicago visits Detroit (9:30 am PT) followed by Las Vegas at Dallas (1:30) and Buffalo at New Orleans (5:20).

The (9-2) Arizona Cardinals have the best record in the NFL (including 6-0 on the road).

CFL:

The CFL playoffs will start on Sunday.

The East Division semifinal has Montreal at Hamilton (10:00 a.m.) and that will be followed with the West Division semi of Calgary at Saskatchewan (1:30 p.m.).

West: Winnipeg 11-3, Saskatchewan 9-5, Calgary  8-6, B.C. 5-9, and Edmonton 3-11.
East:  Toronto 9-5, Hamilton  8-6, Montreal 7-7, and Ottawa 3-11.

NBA:

The (8-10) Toronto Raptors are 1-3 on a 6-game road trip that continues tonight against the (9-8) Grizzlies in Memphis (5:00 PT).

The Raptors trip will conclude Friday night (5:00 PT) in Indiana.

Canada West basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves host the UBC Thunderbirds in Canada West basketball Friday at 6 and 8 p.m. plus  Saturday night at 5:00 and 7:00.

The UNBC women are 3-1 on the season while the men are 2-2.

UBC is 2-4 in the women’s division and 6-0 in the men’s division.
