North Cariboo SPCA fundraising drive

The North Cariboo SPCA is hoping to raise 50,000 this month.

As a part of “Be Kind to Animals” month, the branch will be holding a series of fund raisers throughout May with the challenge of raising more money than the Kamloops branch.

“It kind of goes back and forth each year. Last year we came out on top and we are hoping to keep that pace this year as well.” North Cariboo branch manager Jamie Walsh said

Their first fundraiser is a “Puppy Pub Day” Sunday May 3rd at the Westwood Pub. On May 9th the SPCA will be a part of the May Day parade and will host an open house, and then on the 23rd they will hold a jail and bail at Pine Centre Mall.

All the money raised goes directly to helping sick, injured and orphaned animals at the North Cariboo branch.
