Prince George man arrested for mugging, faces multiple charges

A Prince George man with a long history with the RCMP has been arrested and is facing charges.

In the early morning on Saturday, RCMP say a 29 year old man was robbed of his wallet at gunpoint at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Vancouver Street.

The Caucasian man who was holding the gun and his First Nations female accomplice fled on foot and no one was injured.

Then again on Sunday morning on Queensway Street, police were called the scene of an assault in progress at a motel on Queensway.

The suspect fled, but a small replica handgun was found and the suspect involved was arrested nearby.

25 year old Brent Lane Wilson has now been charged with two counts each of robbery, assault with a weapon, use of a firearm while committing an indictable offence and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Wilson has had numerous police involvement for the past two years in Prince George, Burns Lake and Smithers.
