Last-minute candidates come forward for SD 57 by-election

New candidates for the School Trustee spots in School District 57 have come forward.

The deadline for nomination packages to be in the upcoming by-election was at 4:00 PM this afternoon. (Friday)

There are six candidates listed for the Prince George Trustee spot, and two for the Mackenzie Trustee spot.

Chief Elections Officer Darleen Patterson confirmed the following candidates have submitted their nomination packages. In Prince George, the Candidates are (alphabetical by last name):

  • Andrew John Burton
  • Lance Robert Forsberg
  • Shannon Louise Freeman
  • Milton Joseph Mahoney
  • Audrey Allison McKinnon
  • Brian John Trotter

Stuart Parker had announced his candidacy publicly, but did not submit his package.

In Mackenzie, the two candidates are:

  • David Szucsko
  • Rachel Weber

The by-election is set for January 15th.
