Northern Medical Programs Trust hands out $160,000 for training

The Northern Medical Programs Trust has given out its largest disbursement ever to northern communities.

Vanderhoof Mayor and Trust President Gerry Thiessen says 160 thousand dollars has been given out in total.

Thiessen says last year they gave out 132 thousand dollars in funding to help students with training in rural healthcare.

The Trust is a partnership between UNBC and 30 local governments in northern BC.
