Dream come true for Dream Home Lottery winners

Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall calls the lucky winners of the Prince George Hospice Dream Home Lottery (D. Bain, MyPGNow.com staff)

“Are you freaking kidding me?!”

That’s how Brenda Ferch reacted on the phone when Prince George Mayor Lyn Hall told her that she and Diana Forfar are now the proud owners of a new home in Prince George.

The pair were the lucky winners of the Prince George Hospice Dream Home Lottery.

They raced to the home, and they were the first winners in the lottery’s history to come to the home the night they won. They were ecstatic as they entered their new home for the first time.

They said they have been buying tickets together for many years, and this morning, Forfar said she didn’t have the feeling they would win.

They weren’t the only big winners during tonight’s draws.

Elton Rallison didn’t win a home, but is still going home with a big chunk of cash as the winner of the 50/50.
