There are two NHL games tonight (Wednesday): Edmonton at Toronto and St. Louis at Pittsburgh.

The (16-15-3) Vancouver Canucks are idle until Saturday when they host the Ottawa Senators at 7:00.

The Canucks are 8-0-1 under head coach Bruce Boudreau.

WHL:

UPDATE AT 4 PM

The Prince George Cougars’ home games Friday and Saturday against the Victoria Royals have been postponed.

According to the WHL, this is the result of multiple players and staff being added to the WHL COVID-19 Protocol List.

Both the (13-17-1-1) Cougars, who have lost their last five, and the (12-14-4) Royals have 28 points, tied for 7th in the Western Conference standings, three points behind the Vancouver Giants.

The Cougars are 5-0 this season against the Royals.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings game scheduled for tonight (Wednesday) against the Smoke Eaters in Trail has been postponed due to COVID-19 precautions.

The (14-9-1-1) Spruce Kings visit the (15-10-2) Bucks in Cranbrook Friday and Saturday before having a home game on Wednesday, January 12th against West Kelowna.

Prince George is 5th in points in the 9-team Interior Division.

Week 18 to conclude the NFL regular season will have a pair of Saturday games: Kansas City at Denver (1:30 PT) and Dallas at Philadelphia (5:15) followed by 14 on Sunday.
