BCHL:

The (14-9-1-1) Prince George Spruce Kings are in Cranbrook for a doubleheader against the (15-10-2) Bucks tonight and Saturday.

The Spruce Kings are two points behind the Bucks in the Interior Division standings but P.G. has two games in hand.

WHL:

The Prince George Cougars will not play this weekend as their home games against the Victoria Royals got postponed.

The Royals have seven players out for COVID-19 protocols.

Both the (13-17-1-1) Cougars, who have lost their last five, and the (12-14-4) Royals have 28 points, tied for 7th in the Western Conference standings, three points behind the Vancouver Giants.

NHL: (2 Canadian teams in action Thursday)

Nathan MacKinnon racked up a goal and four assists.

The Vancouver Canucks home game against the Ottawa Senators Saturday has been postponed.

The (16-15-3) Canucks, who are 8-0-1 under head coach Bruce Boudreau, begin a 5-game road trip Tuesday against the Panthers in Florida.

BC Elite Hockey League: (AAA)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars were scheduled to host the (6-12-0-2) South Island Royals Saturday and Sunday at Kin 1 but those games have been postponed.

Cariboo is hoping to play Jan 15th and 16 against the (8-7-1-2) Okanagan Rockets in Kelowna.

The (9-9-1-1) U-18 Cougars are in fifth place in the 10-team division while the Rockets are 6th.

NFL:

This is the final weekend of the NFL regular season.

Week 18 has a couple of games on Saturday: Kansas City at Denver (1:30 PT) and Dallas at Philadelphia (5:15) followed by 14 on Sunday.
