The (16-16-3) Canucks, who are 8-1-1 under head coach Bruce Boudreau, continue a 5-game road trip Thursday night in Tampa Bay.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings host the (19-10) West Kelowna Warriors tonight at 7:00.

It will be their first home game in 2022.

The (15-9-2-1) Spruce Kings are 5th in points in the Interior Division, one point behind the (16-11-2) Bucks, although P.G. has two games in hand.

WHL:

The Prince George Cougars visit the Vancouver Giants Friday and Saturday in Langley.

The Cougars, who have lost their last five, are scheduled to play their next home games on Tuesday, January 18th, and Wednesday, January 19th against the Victoria Royals.

BC Elite Hockey League: (AAA)

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars return to action on Saturday (5:15 PM) and Sunday (10 AM) against the (8-7-1-2) Okanagan Rockets in Kelowna.

The (9-9-1-1) U-18 Cougars are in fifth place in the 10-team division while the Rockets are 6th.

NBA:

Phoenix Suns  99  Toronto Raptors  95

The loss ended a six-game winning streak for the (20-18) Raptors, who start a 5-game road trip Friday night in Detroit.

Canada West basketball:

Three of four Canada West basketball games scheduled for Prince George this weekend have been postponed.

The UNBC Timberwolves will still host the UBC Thunderbirds in men’s action Sunday afternoon at 3:00.

The UNBC men’s and women’s games on Friday against Victoria have been called off as has the UNBC women’s game against UBC on Sunday.

However, the UNBC WBB team will head to Kelowna on Saturday to play UBCO at 1 pm.

The UNBC women are 4-4 on the season while the men are 2-6.

NFL:

The NFL wild-card round begins Saturday with a pair of games: Las Vegas at Cincinnati (1:30 PM PT) followed by New England at Buffalo (5:15).

The three games on Sunday feature Philadelphia at Tampa Bay (10 AM), San Francisco at Dallas (1:30), and Pittsburgh at Kansas City (5:15).

On Monday night, Arizona will visit the LA Rams (5:15).

Home teams are favored in each game: Bengals by 5.5, Bills by 4, Bucs by 8.5, Cowboys by 3, Chiefs by 12.5 and Rams by 4.
