WHL:
After a break of nearly two weeks, the Prince George Cougars return to action as they visit the (15-16-1) Vancouver Giants tonight and Saturday in Langley.
The (13-17-1-1) Cougars, who have dropped their last five, host the Victoria Royals on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Prince George is tied with Victoria for 7th in the Western Conference standings, three points behind Vancouver and five ahead of the Spokane Chiefs.

The Prince George Spruce Kings host the (2-22-1) Merritt Centennials Saturday night at 7:00
The (16-9-2-1) Spruce Kings are coming off of Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over the West Kelowna Warriors.
Prince George is 4th in the Interior Division, one point ahead of the Cranbrook Bucks and three behind West Kelowna.
Late game heroics from Dylan Schives, along with a brilliant performance in between the pipes from Jordan Fairlie propelled the Spruce Kings to a 3-1 victory over the West Kelowna Warriors at the RMCA!

BC Elite Hockey League: (AAA)
In a revised schedule, the (9-9-1-1) U-18 Cariboo Cougars will play the (16-3-1-2) Vancouver North East Chiefs four times this weekend.
The two teams meet tonight at 7:00, Saturday morning at 10:45, Saturday night at 7:00 and Sunday morning at 10:45 in Abbotsford.
The U-18 Cougars are in fifth place in the 10-team division while the Chiefs are 1st.

Canada West basketball:
The UNBC Timberwolves will have one home game this weekend in Canada West men’s basketball.
The Timberwolves host the (10-0) UBC Thunderbirds Sunday afternoon at 3:00.
The UNBC women’s basketball team will visit the (4-6) UBC Okanagan Heat Saturday afternoon in Kelowna.
The UNBC women are 4-4 on the season while the men are 2-6.

NFL:
The NFL wild-card round begins Saturday with a pair of games: Las Vegas at Cincinnati (1:30 PM PT) followed by New England at Buffalo (5:15).
The three games on Sunday feature Philadelphia at Tampa Bay (10 AM), San Francisco at Dallas (1:30), and Pittsburgh at Kansas City (5:15).
On Monday night, Arizona will visit the LA Rams (5:15).
Home teams are favored in each game: Bengals by 5.5, Bills by 4, Bucs by 8.5, Cowboys by 3, Chiefs by 12.5, and Rams by 4.
