Four Prince George organizations are receiving a boost in funding from the province.
The money comes from Community Gaming Grants to support environmental conservation and public safety programs.
The province is distributing $4.9 million to 135 environmental-sector organizations this year, and $5.5 million to to emergency and safety services organizations.
In Prince George, these include:
- Prince George Regional Highway Rescue Society – $100,000
- Prince George Search and Rescue Society – $100,000
- Prince George Humane Society – $80,000
- Prince George Recycling and Environmental Action and Planning Society – $26,000
The Province distributes $140 million from Community Gaming Grants to support nearly 5,000 not-for-profit organizations.
