The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is helping businesses give themselves a facelift.
Eligible businesses can apply for a 50% reimbursement up to a maximum of $5,000 for exterior improvements through the District’s business facade improvement program.
The money can be used for improving exterior features, such as:
- building facades
- signage
- murals
- architectural features
- siding
- lighting
- awnings
This is the first time the regional district has offered the program, General Manager of Development Services, Kenna Jonkman said they’ll be reaching out to eligible business owners.
“Hopefully we will be able to facilitate a few improvements throughout the electoral area,” Jonkman said.
“We couldn’t do it without the funding from the Northern Development Initiative Trust.”
