Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George nearly sold out their Pink Shirts for Pink Shirt Day.
Jane Gauthier with BigsNBC said they had 1000 shirts available, but as of Tuesday afternoon, they had nine left.
“It’s been a lot of people in the community, and businesses, and people are purchasing for their whole staff, and lots of people coming into the office, giving us a call, and ordering one or two shirts for themselves and their family,” Gauthier said.
Gauthier said they had around 800 shirts in total that were sold last year.
Money raised from the shirt sales, along with the other fundraisers done by Prince George businesses will go towards will go towards the mentoring programs put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters in the city.
Gauthier added there will be nine different pink fundraisers throughout local businesses.
They will also be serving breakfast and lunch at the GOAT and Country 97 radio stations today from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
