School District 57 won’t check vaccine cards for school led events

School District 57’s Superintendent of Schools sent out a release to parents with new, relaxed COVID-19 protocols.

According to the release, there will be no capacity limits on events within each school, but a 50% capacity or 50 person capacity limit will be implemented on events that mix schools, and proof of vaccination will not be required for school led gatherings.

Cindy Heitman said that these changes are expected to take effect today (February 22nd), but school principals would be in contact for school specific plans.

  • Visitors are welcome in schools again
  • Students will be able to move more freely through the school
  • Secondary school schedules will return to a regular semester schedule with 4 blocks per day
  • Masks are still expected to be worn at school and during all school led activities.
