Three Ranges Brewing makes significant canned water donation to Lheidli T’enneh

The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation (LTFN) will no doubt raise a glass thanks to a hefty donation from a northern brewery.

Today (Tuesday), Three Ranges Brewing in Valemount donated 80 flats of canned water to the host first nation to boost its supply.

The water will be for LTFN members and will be used during emergencies.

Chief Dolleen Logan told MyPGNow.com that canned water could come in handy if they have to deal with flooding this spring.

“If we have to do sandbags it’s all hands on deck. It will be nice to have water to hand out to people if they are busy filling the sandbags as they get ready for flooding.”

Logan added the donation is huge given the reserve’s issues with their current water system on both the north and southside subdivisions.

“And it’s a slow process. Like, sometimes we have to do the boil water advisories or sometimes we have no drinking water and bring bottled water in so this will be handy to have.”

The canned water will be stored at the Lheidli T’enneh’s Brunswick Street office, which is also the site of their Emergency Operations Centre.
