PG Cougars Charity Golf Tournament returns for ninth year

The PG Cougars and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation will be driving for show and putting for dough again this summer.

The Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament is back for a ninth year from July 8-9 at the local Golf and Curling Club.

Last year’s adapted event, the Million Dollar Hole-in-One Charity Golf Tournament, raised over $63,000 to support healthcare in our region.

The proceeds for this year’s event will focus on Cardiac Care.

“We are so thrilled to see the return of the Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament, and we are so thankful for the incredible support it receives from our community year after year,’ said Darcy Bryant, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation Board Chair. “This tournament has helped equip the north with much needed Cardiac equipment and we will be continuing to direct funds to this critical area. This event is simply not possible without sponsors, supporters, participants, and the partnership with the Cougars and their Alumni Association.”

Since the event’s inception, over $650,000 has been raised.
