PG RCMP investigating after police vehicle set ablaze

The Prince George RCMP are investigating an early morning arson just outside their own detachment.

According to police, just after 4:30 this morning (Thursday), mounties attended to one of their own vehicles on fire near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Vancouver Street.

Prince George Fire Services also attended to assist in putting the blaze out.

The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Police say the investigation is still in the early stages, but investigators have determined that the fire was the result of arson.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP.
